This area in Mexico does not have any above ground rivers, but this region have many natural sink holes, called cenotes, which exposes the water table to the surface. One of them is located nearyby, called Cenote Sagrado. |

Behind Huey is the approximately 60 meter diameter natural sink hole. It is a place of religious pilgrimage for ancient Maya people, and may be a sacraficial grounds for religious purposes. |
